Alternative In Nomine Patri Shirt honors the legendary Dunfermline Scotland anarcho-punk band Alternative and their iconic 1983 EP that peaked at number 6 on the UK Indie Charts. This Alternative shirt celebrates the band often referred to as the "Scottish Crass" for their black attires, logos, and fierce political beliefs - based in Dunfermline where they set up The Pad, an autonomy centre where revolutionary visions of peace and love could fester and grow. Alternative formed in 1979 and first surfaced on the legendary 1980 Bullshit Detector compilation with Change It. The In Nomine Patri EP delivered four classic anarcho-punk tracks: Anti Christ (with its iconic minor key church organ intro), Warfear, Who's Sussed, and Moral Bondage - a studied and often poetic form of anarchy which concentrated on people not power. The band later released the anarcho-punk classic LP If They Treat You Like Shit - Act Like Manure before splitting in 1986.
